Kitn Smitn Ragdoll Cattery was established in 2002.  I was raised on farms with lots of cats, and we have had kittens always in our lives. We chose to name our cattery after our fondness for these felines because we are certainly Kitn Smitn! We are a small cattery located in southern California's beautiful Coachella Valley near Palm Springs in Rancho Mirage where the desert is lush and green year round and surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

Ragdolls are one of the largest domestic cat breeds and are known as gentle giants. They are very social and loving cats. Their medium/long fur is exceptionally soft and bunny-like, non-matting, and easy to maintain, needing brushing/combing only once or twice weekly. They love their humans and are very dog like in that they follow you from room to room, play fetch, and are devoted pets. Ragdolls are blue-eyed pointed cats and come in many colors and patterns. Kitn Smitn specializes in the traditional mitteds and bicolors in blue and seal, also lynx patterns.

We show our kittens and cats in both CFA and TICA, and most all of our breeders have their Champion title or better. Showing keeps us current with the breed standards and helps guide us to breed toward excellence. Ragdolls are indoor-only cats and ours have the run of our home, they are not caged. Our kittens are raised in our bedroom, loved and socialized literally underfoot. Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy Katie is also around to socialize everyone! Our kittens are available for adoption at 12 weeks old after receiving age-appropriate kitten vaccinations (Killed Virus only), worming, spay/neuter, and a complete health examination. The kitten is guaranteed healthy at time of pickup, and we provide a 2 year genetic guarantee. Each kitten will have copies of their pedigrees from TICA and/or CFA.
Ragdolls are never to be de-clawed.



Katie is our sweet-natured resident Keeper of the Kittens. She is a 10# toy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is smitten with kittens, and is very protective of all her cats, most who outweigh and outsize her. Your Ragdoll kitten will be socialized by humans AND Katie!

Because we are a small cattery, we have only a few litters a year. Therefore, we do accept deposits to reserve a kitten in the color and pattern you desire.

We will be happy to assist with Ragdoll kitten deliveries to San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles in California, and occasionally (when convenient) to areas in Phoenix and Tucson in Arizona.
